    Default Help....

Hello everyone, i am brand new onto this forum. I have a question about Vegas 6. I just got it, and i am kinda a noobie going into advanced media editing, but i think i can take it on. ANYWAYS....This is my problem/question to all of you...Ok, so i have Sony Vegas 6 for editing and file managing for my camera(Canon ZR200 minidv). I am trying to put a movie together, and everytime i try to put video in, all i get is the audio. in the media trimmer, when i select "audio and video" the audio peaks come up, but the video stream says "media offline." so who knows how to turn on the video stream or do whatever it is i need to do in order for things to work?!
    Thank you

I would be interested in that also. Right now i'm using another capture software to import, then opening in vegas. It would be nice to just use vegas!

Its not a fix but dose you camara come with capture software? If you can get it to your hard drive then open in vegas it would work. Thats what I'm doing right now because i can't find the settings to import from my capture card.

Do you have th dv codec installed? It may be on a disc with the camera, if not the panasonic site has a free dv codec.

It didn't come with instructions? Just open up the program, connect your firewire/USB cable. The program should find the camara right away. then follow the onscreen instruction.
