    Default Help converting .vob to mpeg for editing

    Apologies for the question as I am a complete novice at this!

    I have recently transfered some old VCR footage to DVD via my DVD recorder with intention of editing and making a new DVD.

    I understood i had to convert .VOB files to MPEG 2 and tried a trial version of Xilsoft video converter which worked fine.

    However when I obtained a full copy of Xilsoft and encoded the video the footage appears blank.

    Can anyone help please????

    You can convert to an editable (editable, not edible) by following the famous section 10 of the faq:
