Thread: Turn a person blue

    Default Turn a person blue

Is there a way on Vegas 6 that I can turn a person blue for example and the rest of the background be black and white or a dull grey? If so could you help me out I would greatly appreciate it. And try to dumb it down as much as possible because I'm not no pro.

    Blue is tricky, red however.....
Red is easy if the person is wearing red you can apply the effect called "secondary color corrector" then select the desatureate all but reds preset. Unfortunatley there is no quick fix for blue. If you have after Effects you could do it in there again providing thet the person is wearing blue.

Yeah the person would be wearing blue. So I can only do red? Thanks

I got a fiddly way that might wk.

Use the keyer to make blue transparent. Trun evrything else b/w (put keyer b4 b/w in effects chain), then put the original track underneath and the blue will show thru.

Alright try not to laugh at me but how do I use the keyer to make blue transparent? Is it the same thing as the key framer? Can you dumb it down a little for me? Thanks for the help Mark.

Oh yeah! I think I did it. It works pretty good as long as the lighting doesn't change the color too bad. I used the eye dropper thing in chroma keyer is that what you use? Thanks for the help guys.

Glad it works. If you want more blue then increase the saturation or use the clor corrector to increase the blue on the track underneath the chrome key track.

Default Actually you can use Color Corrector (secondary)

    Do this:

Click the "desaturate all but red" preset, then go to the Center slider and move it down to the blue you want. Presumably, you can adjust the Width to fine-tune the range of blue to not desaturate.
