    Default Swedish Rally home movie

I finally got time to edit some home movies I took of the WRC Swedish Rally from February. So, it's my first camera (Panasonic GS-150) and my first real movie. Tell me how I can improve. I have tons of extra footage to fill in if necessary. Thanks.

It's about 60 MB, and it's in .wmv format. I used Windows Movie Maker 2.1.

EDIT: The below link is a tweaked version of above, and ~ 24 MB.

    Exciting stuff!

Just few pointers. The file size is way to big for 4 mins, win media is very flexible and good quality can be produced at smaller file sizes, this will come with practice.

When filming out of a window switch to manual focus otherwise as happened in your vid the camera focuses on the window instead of looking beyond it.

Capturing fireworks also switch to manual focus, and set the focus to something at about the same distance as the fireworks.

Your vid shows that you can do good stuff with free tools.

Thanks for the pointers. I'll have to practice using the manual focus and fool around with movie maker some more.

I'm off to shoot more movies!
