I am a teacher, and my school just acquired a DVD drive/burner and editing software. Students have made VHS commercials, plays, etc., and want to edit them.
The DVD burner captures VHS video directly from a camera or VCR, and burns a DVD at the same time. The video is saved in the VOB format and can be played on a DVD player.
The problem is that the editing software, Movie Shop, will not import VOB files, only MPG1 and AVI.
Wondering what is the cheapest way to solve this problem. Are there video editing programs that work with VOB files?
(I am not permitted to download free software.)
VOB files are essentially MPEGs so you can rename their extension to .mpg and try to edit them.
Mroken - give this a try
