Not sure exactly how this works out... I haven't ordered a camera yet.

There's a firewire port on my soundcard... but nowhere else... not sure if that's a problem or not.

Odd place for it, but I should think it will be fine.

If I were to get a capture card, how can I hook that up to my TV? Is there something that you can buy that will take the input and split it (without signal loss) so that I can watch TV while recording it to my hard drive?

    I'm confused.

What are the benefits of getting this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814106156 ?

Aside from the bundled software, I mean. Does it allow you to do anything that you couldn't do with a regular (but good) computer?

I guess I don't understand the difference between all these things...
