Default Premiere pro 1.5 exporting options (movie)

Hi everyone, i'm a complete newbie to video editing and i thought i would come to the best place possible for some advice.

I've basically edited a 3 min movie clip and i want to know what are the best options to get the best quality play back.

I used a sony camcorder and used firewire to capture my footage. I've seen the quality my raw footage is and want that type of quality or near to it.

    Advice would be really helpful.

    cheers

if its for storage or future eding then output to dv format otherwise if you want to retain the most quality you can and be able to play on a dvd player, then export to mpeg2 8000 mbps multipass

All my video's I do through Premiere Pro 2 are exported as "Microsoft DV AVI". The quality is great. They play back on your computer fine but take up a fair amount of space. I store them on my computer in that format till I transcode them to DVD later on
