In Summary: Are you trying to create a video project on one computer and then save it to disk and then transfer to another computer to create a DVD?

Sorry, just puzzled by question. Can you elaborate a little please for all of us.

Okay...My dad has a laptop with a dvd burner but he wont let me install any programs on it because its for his work. I was wondering if i can make a dvd project on this computer (desktop) and transfer it to his computer through the network or a disk and then burn it without installing software on his computer..is that a little better?

If the laptop has a DVD burner then I expect themachine tohave some sort of rom burning softwrae on it.

So, if you create a DVD project/image abnd copy the VIDEO_TS dorectory over tothe laptop via a network connection then of course you can burn the DVD rom from the laptop.

    Mr. Mills is always there...

The VIDEO_TS directory is created by your video editing software. It stores the necessary information (Video Files) needed by the DVD rom to burn a DVD for showing.
