Default I Am New... Need A Little Help

ok this will be kinda long...

Ok hey all... i am new here so if i screw something up, sorry... but i will let u in on my situation... i do alot of mountain bike riding... it is my love and most fullfilling hobby... me and my friends can do some crazy things... now i think it is time to share it with the world... so, i am looking for a camera that i can take on the trail with me and deend on to be sturdy... but i want modern dvd quality, or darn near close to it... i have a tight budget for like $600...

right now i am looking at the Canon optura 400 and 500... i found both real cheap at butterflyphoto.com... is there any other cameras i should be looking at that seem right for me...

    Thanks
