I've finally managed to get my edited .avi files (4 files 2Gb total) burnt to DVD-video format using Nero Vision Express 3 (1.21 Gb total).
I am finding that the quality of the DVD video (and even the image used for the menu background) is much poorer than the original file.
I understand that the DVD files are encoded to mpeg-2, but why are they compressed to a lesser quality (I chose the 'high-quality' option in Vision Express).
I wasn't expecting it to be so difficult to get some .avi files and burn them to DVD and get reasonable quality.
I am using an old and slow PC but this wouldn't affect the quality would it?
Any advice would be appreciated.
