Very odd. I get a full choice of options. Have you contacted Sony at all to find out why?

Could I be missing a decoder or encoder or smoething for mpeg-2 files that may cause me not to be able to fully save & open some files.

Why would he have the "Custom" menu for mpegs and I don't?

    I'm using Vegas 6.0C.

I uninstalled Vegas and then re-installed and it seems to work now.

I'm still having troulbe though reading certain .m2v video files, which is critical and i can't seem to figure out why vegas won't see the whole video, it thinks a 3 minute video is 6 seconds and only loads 6 seconds of the file into the timeline, but when tested the same file on another pc it worked.

Do you have DVD architect installed? If you don't then install it if you have the software....it has a built in MPEG2 decoder and it should work just fine.

It looks like the files are working for the most part.

Any .m2v file that isn't working, i'm using VirtualDub to open and resave as .avi.... if anybody has suggestions on the best way to save, let us know please, thanks
