    Default Adobe Premiere Elements

I am trying to install Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 but a message that my PC does not support SSE2.

Can someone tell me what SSE2 is?

    What does it do?

Do I need a replacement CPU?

At the moment I have an AMD Athlon 3000 XP+

    Thanking you in advance.

    Adobe support indicate:

The following CPUs do not have SSE2 support and will not work with Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0: Intel Pentium III, AMD Athlon, AMD Athlon XP, or AMD Athlon XP-M.

Is this an "extended instruction set" type of thing? If so I got that at Xmas trying to install a game I bought for the kids. Damn annoying it never said anything on the box about it.
