Thread: Recording Computer Monitor?

    Default Recording Computer Monitor?

    Hello,

This has probably been asked before, but I never have any luck with the PHPBB search function.

I'm looking to create a few recording studio / audio mixing tutorials. I need to capture or record my actions on my computer monitor. What are my options? I've got a Canon XL-1s that I barely know how to use. I build all my own computers as well, so if installing an extra video card is necessary, I can handle that.

I use Vegas for my recording so odds are very strong that I'll be doing the Video work in Vegas as well.

Go easy on me here. I'm almost completely brain dead when it comes to video (although I can handle my own on the audio end).

    Thanks
    Brandon Drury

Go into your menu screen on the camera and select the "Clear Scan" -- For shooting computer monitor screens; from a range of 61.9Hz to 201.5 Hz.
