Default Ideal camera and software for new Google Video?

Hi! First Post! - I'm intrigued by Google's new Google Video service of uploading vids and getting paid for it. I have some stand-up comedy I want to do and some "sit-com"type shorts. I'd like some suggestions for the ideal camera and editing software specifically for this venture. Google accepts mpeg 2 and mpeg4. Sanyo has a cool one coming out that touts recording in "high-definition" mpeg4 (720i), but after reading the bottom of the review, it doesn't sound like high quality. I'd really like to start with maybe 1080i, but I'm kind of hooked on the JVC Evario sereis.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Sold state camcorders are indeed great for videoblogging and other means of Internet distribution, but if you want the best quality and plan to do some editing I suggest you stay away from them. Better get an entry-level MiniDV camcorder, any will do.
