Default Prosumer HD or used shoulder mount SD ?

    edit 27/04/06

Just bumbed this big time, last try....

Prosumer HD or used shoulder mount SD ?

I am thinking of my next camera purchase and am wavering between HD and pro SD. There are some real bargains to be had in shoulder mount pro cameras at the moment. I love the handling qualities of big pro cameras you see.

I have some raw footage from that nice jvc hi def camera and it looks great but I cant for life of me see the real point at the moment as there is hardly any way of screening hi def stuff.

My question is this, how much 'better' is the off tape video from, say, a dsr 300 (or similar) likely to be compared to my old VX9000e?

I would hope for less noise / smear / better contrast range and more resoloution, especially colour resoloution.

Has anyone got any raw DV footage they can send / point me too off a 'pro' DV camaera?

    Thanks.

    Another BIG BUMP

Anyone got some video to help me decide?

    Just short clips?

RAW prosumer HDV v. Pro SD ?

Resloution aside a decent increase in contrast range would be the clincher for me.

Any thoughts if no one has the clips I am after.

    Ta.

I dont have any of the clips you are asking for but in my opinion, i think streaming full HD is not exactly something that is really out there and i really think 1080 will very soon become the new 720.

If you look at the date of the posts this may give you some context.
