    Hello everyone,

I have a Panasonic NV-MX300 camera that i got in Russia, as well as bunch of videos, all recorded with that camera in PAL format (i think). Please advise what i need to get to be able to capture those videos, edit them and make DVDs in both PAL and NTSC formats?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Easiest option. A decent PC (1.5 Ghz up) or mac with a firewire port and lots of HD space, both these os have a very simple video editor, and a firewire port. Yoiu capture the video from the camera using the fire wire.

The best hard drive for capturing video is a serial ATA hard drive, followed by IDE, then firewire, then USB.

SCSI is also an option, but it's generally very expensive compared to the other formats.

Avoid usb. I edit off all the others with no problem but USB does work but it is glitchy.
