Thread: question with importing videos

    Default question with importing videos

    i got this avi file that works fine on windows media player/winamp, but when i put it into vegas it has the video offline and audio all there, why? Never found AI to give me problems in the past.

    An AVI file could be encoded with any kind of exoctic codec. Whenever you have trouble with a video in an NLE, the quickest and easiest solution is to convert to a format you know is supported first. I tend to do step 10 in http://www.videoforums.co.uk/reviews/faq
