Default Splitting the current clip into two or more clips

I was looking around for about 30 minutes and I couldn't find out how to split the current clip into two or more clips. Example: In Windows Movie Maker, its very easy to create separate clips. A button says: "Split the clip into two clips at the current frame (CTRL+L)". It also already starts as about 4 clips (at least in my movie). What I'm trying to say is that, is there a way to split the clip into two or more clips? I'm pretty sure there is a way but I'm so confused. Please help, thanks.

Edit: I think I just figured out how. Sorry. But is it even right? "S" key?
