Default My burnt DVD sticks in my DVD player, does anyone know why?

Hello, I wonder if there is anyone who can suggest what might be going wrong.

I am successfully creating DVDs of my video footage, but when I come to play them back on an ordinary DVD Player they stick.

The software I am using for the video editing is Pinnacle Studio 9.3. Also when I tried to burning a copy of a DVD on Sonic, the sticking stituation became worse on playback.

Instinct tells me either it is the software I am using, or the DVD player (a Toshiba).

Any advice will be gratefully received

Couple of things you can try:

    - a different brand/type of disc
    - a different player

some players are a bit fussy about the media that goes in them - give another type of media a try, or a different player, whichever one is easier. Let us know how you get on!

I had the same problem just the other day.
    I burnt a DVD on a Re-Writable and it "stuck"..."paused""" etc.

When I burnt onto a write once all OK

The re-writable disc is a couple of years old.

    and ANOTHER thought.

I have 3 DVD Players, 1 very good quality, 1 medium range and 1 cheap player.

Well on the good one all my DVD's play perfectly.
On the medium range one, some discs are not recognised

On the CHEAP one some of my discs playback JERKY

My advice is do not purchase the cheap one.

Regrading the quality of the dvd player ive got 2 DVD players 1 cheap that is about 5 years old and 1 that is under 1 year old and the 5 year old player, plays burnt DVDs better than the newer one.
