Default Footage from a Canon Power Shot A70

Does any one no if there's any way that I can get footage which I filmed on my digital camera in to Premiere. I connect the camera up to the USB port but it's not letting me capture the image. It's saying that it doesn't support the format, (because it's compressed or somethink or over)

Again, I will be greatfull for any help.

You'll probably need to copy the image from your card to your computer first, then convert it from whatever format it's in, into DV format. Not sure what format it will be in though.
