    Default Prem Pro Capture problems....

All of a sudden, Premier Pro is dropping frames when I capture. I've not altered my PC in any way, no additional software etc... I've also tried closing all background programs, to no avail. Any ideas folks? I've got no hair left....

Try a defrag of the HD, and then try again.

I'm doing that right now, although it looks not too bad anyway. Also, I've ran "The Ultimate Troubleshooter" software and removed everything that's not needed....

I'll let you know if it works...

Any luck w/ ur dropped frames?
Just moved from Pentium 4 to Pentium D.
I didnt have dropped frames using the Pentium 4 w/ PremierePRo.
Now, with Pentium D, i get a lot of dropped frames... which is very frustrating.

Yep - The defrag seemed to work. It's weird, because the defrag program said that there was no need to do it...

Also, I bought a program which stops all the unncesssary background programs, so that may have helped too.

The program is called "The Ultimate Troubleshooter", and seems to be ok...

I dont know if i really have to defrag. My PC is just a week old and I used a new HDD w/c didnt even have any data on it previously.

Ow well, will try to defrag anyway. :-(
