Is it a trial version that you have got?

Sounds like you do have a trial version installed. If you have downloaded the trial and installed a version over the top of it and it's not worked, contact Adobe and they should be able to sort it out nice and easy for you!

If you've downloaded what you thought was a full version of Premiere Pro from bittorrent, but has turned out to be a demo, put your hand in your pocket you cheapskate :-P

If I understand you correctly you have installed the trial version over the top of the full version. Why would you do this?

Also, and I'm not convinced this can have any real bearing on the problem, but have you patched 1.5 up to 1.51 yet?
