    Default First narration ever...bit naff?

    This is the latest effort

I haven't narrated a video yet, until now. I always find it difficult to sound 'normal' when I am narrating. It seems a bit false. Any comments welcome!

You will always sound false to yourself, it takes along time to get used to listening to yourself and being convinced it sounds good.

Personally, I cant see anything wrong with that at all, except you should have voiced the part at the end too instead of titling the "Maybe next weekend Ian".

Yeah I think you are right. I will change the last title to a voice over.

    Thanks for the feedback

the part where Ian's name is on the screen - perhaps you could lower it a bit, as it is it's right underneath his chin, you got so much space towards the bottom that you could move the text to. just a suggestion.

Well..It was a good movie and at first you explained alot. Then as the flying kicked in you stoped narating and as some one who doesnt no anything about paraglyding i would have loved to of know what you were doing. The flying seqance was good lovly shots i loved that one when you were in the air.

I agree with Hell Atlantic....position the text differently.
and with Luke D, loved the narration, but it just kinda stopped!?!

I've just finished my first narration too and can def agree that I felt quite a plonker stating what seems obvious, into a mic. But both paragliders and divers must be aware that to the general public, its not all obvious whats going on.

Loved your footage tho'...I'm still looking into your advice on hosting.

Great! some feedback I can really use.

The text was a problem. I am using windows movie maker (still!) and I found it difficult to get it exactly where I wanted it. (I am looking into new software now that I have my shiny new 250 GB external hard drive)

I agree with the stating the obvious comment Luke, BUT this is a film that was only ever intended for a paragliding audience; just one of many web quality films I have on my site. It is just what we happened to get up to this weekend. I might add a bit more explanation though. It might help to 'tell the story'.

I'll make some changes and re-post the video.

Thanks for all the comments guys I find them very useful.

I have made all the changes suggested

I still don't like my voice when I am narrating!

    Thanks Luke,

The next few videos will not be flying videos since it is now snowing here in Ontario, Canada.

I will probably dust off some holiday footage and try to rustle it up into something half decent.

Thanks for all the comments (good and bad). I found the feedback really helpful
