As a complete novice to video editing I need to know what I need to get my video from cam to dvd.

Please do not get to technical as I am a bit thick.

I have a Dell 5100 with windows xp.

    Hi Kilda,

That's a pretty broad question to be honest. And, it is quite technical, so you're probably going to have to be patient and learn how to do each and every step.

It's not that difficult once you've learn how, I promise

Basically what Im saying is that if i was to type a message to tell you how to do all of it from a beginners point of view, I'd be typing for several hours.

What software would you recommend? can I use windows movie maker to put my movie on a dvd, or am I better with another programme?

Try nero (any version). It's easy and non-technical.
