I am using the Sony HDV-M10U deck to make window dubs with burn-in time code from my HDV tapes (mini-DV recorded on the FX-1 and Z1U Sony HDV cameras) to DVDs. I am not loading footage into an editing system at this point. I only want to make window dubs. I am using RCA audio and S-video connections. I am unable to get the time code to record onto my DVD, even though it appears on the deck's monitor. (It does not appear on the external monitor I have connected to my DVD recorder, so the TC signal is somehow not getting to the recorder.) I have read the manual, to no avail. What do I need to do to make a window dub with burn-in time code with this deck and my DVD recorder deck (Panasonic DMR-E55)?
