Default Premiere Pro: copying a sequence to another project

Is it possible in Premiere Pro to copy a sequence (or at least the contents of that sequence) into another project?

I have a sequence in a project with some very intricate edits, but I need this in another project (and not just an exported AVI, which I know how to do).

I have tried opening project 1, selecting the clips, copying, then opening project 2 and pasting, but nothing happens. Obviously the clipboard is cleared when opening the new project.
