    Default Blue Screen-In a Barn

    Hello Everyone,

I am trying to get a manger scene for our Christmas Play this year. I am
working on using bluescreen. I created this still background. Let me know what you think? I plan on putting real video of kids playing Mary and Joseph.

Pretty good effort. Would it be possible though to take the still of the barn without the light on. It gives the appearance of the lad being lit from the back when he isn't. I think what you have done is good enough though.

One though though. You are using a 'blue' screen right? Doesn't Mary wear blue? She'll have an invisible body if you're not careful.

Actually our Mary will be wearing an off white robe. And yes the lighting on the boy is not what I will be using. I will have more of a diffused light on the figures to match the background. Thank You for your comments.

    Pretty good effort.

Just be careful what height you shoot the people at though. I watched this three or four times. At first I thought the angle of the lad wasn't correct to the picture, (but only slightly). Then I changed my mind, then I changed again.

    Still not sure...

    Default Barn

yes I was looking a few months ago for a background. Just the the other day I found the barn picture on google, added in the animals in a photo program and also added the lightburst in the front corner.

    Also,
yes the height is going to be tricky, the barn pic itself is a little weird.

Thank you all for your advice. just to let you know I am using a program called serious Magic Ultra key. I bought is a few weeks a go it is amazing and so easy to use.

Better with the animals. they're alive but not moving enough to distract your attention from the real work. However, did you do this one a bit quicker than before. There's a bundle of 'shimering' around the top of the boy's head. Maybe you are getting a little bit of blue reflection there.

Yes I did this just to show the new background. I am so happy I finslly got something to work. I am going to see this Sunday how it will look projected on a large screen. Thanks again for you insight.

I thinks it's alot better with the child apparently standing in the hay too. Looks far more realistic than the first try.
