I have created a Ulead Media Pro (version 7.03) project comprising about 20 video clips and totalling 1hr 20min and 40 sec. I've decompressed the audio and video files and need to create a 700mb avi video from the project. I have done so successfully in the past using the DivX codec. However i now prefer the clarity of the Xvid codec.
No matter how i alter the settings i can't seem to get to file to fill a 700mb CD. The inbuilt calculator always seems to come up with a file of less than 600mb file no matter how i alter the setting. I guess this is not really that important however i do feel that there is room to use a slightly higher bitrate and thereforr a slightly better quality file.
The settings i am using are:
PAL (25 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 Bits, 640 x 480, 25 fps
XviD MPEG-4 Codec
Interleave audio for every 1 frames
MPEG Layer-3, 128 kBit/s, 48,000 Hz, Stereo
The XviD Configuration is
Encoding Type: Two Pass
Profile @Level AS@L5
Target Size 716800
Motion Search Precision 6-Ultra High
VHQ mode: 1- Mode Decision
Frame Drop Ration: 0
Maximum I-frame interval 250 (I have also tried 300)
Can anyone advise me on what to do to get the correct size. Thanks.
