Default Menu Transitions in DVDA 2

I'm wondering if I can get that cool effect you see on commercial dvds where once you click on say the chapters button there is a smooth transition to the chapters menu. I can't figure out how to do it in 2.0, is it available in 3.0? As of right now when I click on the buttons it immediately goes into the next menu, is there away I can get around it if it's not available in 2.0, say set up a transition in Vegas and export it to DVDA? thanks for listening.

You can't "transition" between assets on a DVD. What you can do is go:

Title Menu --> Asset --> Chapter Menu

Where the 'Asset' is a short video that displays the "transition". For example I do this to 'zoom' into a thumbnail on the chapter selection screen before the chapter selection plays.

What I meant to say is that I believe what you're asking is fundamentaly *impossible* within the DVD specification.
