    Default PSP & video

I guess I'm gonna have to buy a PSP to review and play around with. Unless some company wants to give me one for free .

That would be great though, wouldn't it? Each one of us gets to play with a gadget for a review every now and again (I'm still holding my breath).

You guys are going to hate me...

We managed to blag one to "test" the music video on... And they said we could keep it!!!

The video quality on them is pretty cool, the screen is kind of similair to the "x-black" lappys and monitors so gives any video quite a glossy look...

I tried about 10 different psp encoders and found pspvideo9 to be the best. I imagine with some playing in procoder you could get it better... but pspvideo9 is Really easy and creates the thm file for you...(as do all the other "psp encoders") This is the thumbnail file which is needed for the psp operating system to "see" the video file.

Our main aim at the moment is to try and stream video to the psp direct from t'internet...at the moment the web browser doesnt support streaming video... and its a right pain to download videos straight from the net to the correct directory on the psp. The PSP doesnt seem to be able to "multitask" IE launch the video player while browsing the internet... Im sure this will come with future firmware upgrades...

If anyone knows anything about the operating system programming wise (IE which languages are supported other than java...) any help/advice at all would be appreciated...
