Recovering original video after recording with an image overlay in OBS Studio

Hello,

I have a number of recorded videos with intermittent sections on the screen that need to be covered for privacy reasons.
There's no need for a blur effect and a simple coloured box overlay would do just fine.
I've created two sources in OBS studio with one being the original media and another image overlay with a coloured rectangle png image.
I then record the scene, play the media source and see the overlay image covering the relevant areas.

The output is an MP4 file in which the overlay image appears as well.
The final MP4 file will be shared with others and I need to make sure that the original content is protected.

Given the output MP4, can the original video and the overlaid content be reproduced or recovered?
