Default Muse - Unintended Video Effect?

    Hi guys.

Basicly i want to know how they did the effect that you see in the whole of the music video of the song called 'Unintended' by the awsome band 'Muse'. If you havnt seen the video i sugjest you pilfer it from somwhere as it is most... weird.. and would defonetly interest you guys here that are into film editing.

IF you have seen the video and know the effect i am talking about..
In theory its a relativly simple post-effect. Each horisontal line of pixels is one frame ahead of the one below it..at least i think thats what i mean. Anyway.. anybody know any way of replicating this effect?

Sounds like they forgot to de-interlace it and pretended they did it on purpose.

It's been years since I've seen the video, so I don't remember the effect.

It does sound scarily like interlacing though :-S

("Unintended" isn't really my favourite Muse track TBH - just sounds like a Radiohead reject track before Muse decided to get a proper sound of their own  )

hehe i agree.. But i do love the video. And i would love to know how the effect is done so i can fiddle with it for my own work. Im just cutting down the video now to post a clip of it.

Plug in Baby, New Born and Bliss are my favorites.. The intro to plug in baby just takes me back to when i saw muse at wembely arena in 2003.. bloody amazing 3 guys can make so much noise..

Paste this 'http://www.roddean.vispa.com/Muse Unintended Clip.wmv' without speechmarks into your browser and it should work.. hopefully.
