Software for removing grain/noise?

I trialled Adobe After Effects recently and found the remove grain function very handy, but that is the only function that I would currently get any use out of, and I don't want to fork out so much money on software that I will barely use.

I was wondering if there is another (cheaper) software that is also good at removing noise from footage instead?

Any help here would be much appreciated!

If you're likely to have to do this on more than one occasion I personally swear by the neatvideo.com plugin that is available for a one time fee and supports a lot of editors such as Resolve (which is free).

However if it's a one time thing you can also opt to hire someone (like me ) to do it.

Just to be a clear, they do a version for many different NLEs, but each is specific (ie if you want to use it in Vegas and in Resolve, you'd need to buy two different products (I appreciate that's an unlikely requirement, but that exactly what I wanted to do and the reply i got form Neat when I enquired)
