Thread: Good value USB Mic?

  1. Default Good value USB Mic?

I'm looking for a good quality and cost effective USB mic to use for streaming and recordings. I've seen models like Blue Yeti and Apogee online but they're slightly more costly than I'd like. Any recommendations?

This is a nice one, reputable brand and comes with a nice handy boom that allows mic placement in 3D space.
One thing that you should remember is that the room around you also impacts the sound of your recordings. (As an illustration, it's usually better to record under a blanket than next to a concrete wall or window)

Thanks for the recommendation. Would you classify this as a uni-directional or omni-directional mic? How would you compare it to the Samson Meteor https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-Mete...ct_top?ie=UTF8

I wouldn't, I'm not in the market for one But I think I would veer towards the one on the boom. It's cheaper, and I imagine the arm helps to avoid or at least minimise loud noises when you bump into the desk/table that the mic is standing on.
