Default How to make a "typing leters" effect?

I have Premiere Pro 1.5, and i want to make that effect, usually known in PowerPoint, where the letters appear one by one, like a typing machine.

    I have searched a bit, but i couldn't find what i want. Help! :o

    Thanks!

You could create several titles, and put them on the same track...

    for the word "Research"

you would make title #1 just be the letter "R"
you would make title #2 just be the letters "Re"
you would make title #3 just be the letters "Rea"
    etc...etc

then put them up next to each other.

Or you could buy Panopticum's Rich typing plug in. It is an After Effects plugin but they also work on Premiere.

I've done this using a conveninet feature of then Matrox RT.x100 so this is untested but couldn't you....

have a single title and keyframe a crop effect on it? You'd need to keyframe subsequent frames though so might be fiddly.

Alan & Mr Walls are both right - Both ways will achive ur goal but they are both a lil fiddley - If you cant find a plugin for premier to do this then do it one of these ways - It is very very very easy to do.

Im gonna try this Panopticum's Rich typing demo.
It looks a bit complicated, because all i want is a simple typing effect...! But thanks, anyway!
