FPS vs Quality
I've always assumed that say 50fps @ 100Mbps is visually inferior to 25fps @ 100Mbps because that seems logic to me. with 25 fps you have 4 MB per frame whereas with 50fps you have 2 MB per frame.
I wonder though if it's really that straightforward or if there's more to it?
And would it really matter that much the the viewing experience or not?
I usually shoot at the highest fps possible so I can slow it down a little to smooth out movement. To me the final material looks pleasing enough and I which leads to my assumption that the lack of quality is probably more due to sensor architecture and lens quality rather than less data per frame at high frame rates.
Would love to hear your thoughts, knowledge and experience on this. Maybe I should start filming at lower frame rates after all...
