Thread: Musicbed.com licensing

    Default Musicbed.com licensing

Just a quick heads up if you've never used musicbed.com before. In my opinion their licensing is extrem ly confusing. I bought three licences for a project on the understanding that the cost was $50 per song. Two weeks later their remediation team told me I needed a business licence as a business logo was used. So I'm now down an additional $450 (It's too late to use other music).

So a heads up. Assume you'll need a business licence.

    Thanks Marc.
What's the nature of the project? Are you (or someone else) selling copies of the product, or is this something poduced for a client to show (eg on a website/showroom)?

It was something produced for a client to show.

Hmmm. I think I'd have fallen into the same trap as you. Bummer.

Luckily it had a happy ending. They honoured the price, which I thought was a decent thing to do.

Well, good for them. I'm sure getting a bad rep here wouldn't damage their reputation much globally, but the fact they "did the right thing" means I, for one, will certainly consider using their music if the need arises.
