Thread: Noisy stuff

    Default Noisy stuff

    Hi,
Apologies for asking a question that has no doubt been asked umpteen times before, but I'm looking for some help/advice regarding sounds.

I have done some googling and found many sites. I have also searched on here but whenever I click on a thread it just takes me back to the homepage.

    So if anyone has any help/advice/experience using r o y a l t y f r e e m u s i s then I'd love to hear from you. Good sites/bad sites, prices, do's and don'ts etc.....

    Many thanks

    Chris

    When I say sounds, I actually mean r o y a l t y f r e e m u s i c

For some reason I can't seem to post any thread using those three words.

    Hope this will help:
    There's the youtube audio library:
    https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music

Facebook has a similar one but I never use it so I'm not 100% sure if it has exactly that which you are looking for.

I've also found some music on Freesound.org just register and download. Make sure you filter right though. Some are under the Creative Commons licences which will require you to give some form of credit.
    https://freesound.org
Basically you can filter the following options:
    "Attribution"
    "Attribution Noncommercial"
    "Creative Commons 0"
    "Sampling+"

The real "free for anything" is the "Creative Commons 0" option...

Other than that there's musopen.org which is mainly classical stuff.

Oh and the internet archive at https://archive.org not 100% sure if that's all public domain or not.

And lastly the Pond5 Public domain project at https://www.pond5.com/free

    Good luck!

    Hi Grapes,

This is brilliant. Thanks for this. Have had a look/listen and some stuff here I could use. Will keep looking, but the wife will probably kill me listening to all of this.
    Thanks again, massive help.

Thanks Tim. Posting this has been a painful experience and I have no idea why. As soon as I stopped writing R F M it posted. Strange.

Apparently the forum has developed a reaction to Royalty Free Musi c. No head why after spending an hour investigating!
