    Default Help with video transition/layers?

    Hi,

Here is what I want to do in PP or AE:-

Two videos overlaid using layers. I want the second video to come in from the left (not slide, but a graduated fade in) and then gradually move the fade to the right so that it fully overlays the original.

Just need some pointers from the experts

    thanks,

    Andy

    Here's the pointers:
black to white (or white to black) matte with a gradual change from black to white in between.
Then slide that one from left to right.
You would need the matte to be at least twice the width of your vid.
I think it works in both PP as well as AE and I can think of other ways as well but this one popped first in my mind

Thanks for the info - I was looking at mattes earlier, so good to know I am on the right track 😀
