Default Using Win Movie Maker...Need Help..Corrupt Files

    Hi,

I'm looking for some brief consulting in video editing with someone who's familiar with PC and (preferably)
    Windows Live Movie Maker.

I've been using WLMM to do my videos but I did a longer one (13 minutes) that took a lot of edits and
    used 61 separate video files.

It gets 2/3rds the way through and then it stops...I get the following message:

I tried removing some files I thought might be corrupted but still the same result.

I also tried saving the project at a lower resolution/file size and no luck.

UPDATE: I just tried again and it gave a bunch of errors that I neede to remove files because they aren't recognized.

Im using a Samsung laptop with i7 processor and 8gigs of ram. I think that's enough??

Ive read that maybe I should always run my flies through a codec or something to check them?

Let me know if you'd like to consult.

I also wanted to add that I'm using an iphone 8 at 1020p 30fps

Question: Should I try Sony Vegas (trial)??

I wanted to add one more thing: I'm reading that maybe it's because my iphone is MOV files and they dont play nicely on Windows MM.

Would Sony Movie Studio 14.0 suffice? Im looking at that now.

    Thanks in advance

    Don’t use movie maker

vegas will work fine if you really don’t want to edit natively in iMovie on your phone

    Hey thanks for replying.

    A couple of follow-ups...

    - Do I need to convert my MOV files before importing to Vegas?

    - I've downloaded the trial 14.0...is that good enough?

    Thanks!

Vegas should handle MOV files. I don't know what limitations the trial might have.

The OP should probably read this comment elsewhere AND the post linked in that comment. After reading those he might re-read section 5. in that post and try the suggestion there.

And if he thinks (Magix Vegas) Movie Studio 14 is worth considering, he should try/get the Platinum version, not the basic one.
