Question Bizarre Question for Anyone Familiar with Blizzard World Editors

I'm new, and would like to make a short film. I have previously used cinematics in Blizzard Entertainment products like Starcraft and Warcraft 3, and was curious if such a thing exists for general purposes. Basically, I can set up character models, control certain animations so they sync with the dialogue, and other wonderful things. The problem, of course, is anything I make in there is Blizzard's property. I would like to be able to use custom imported models and skins to create the environment. Anyone know?

    Thanks.

Back in my day the top product for this sort of affair was called Maya - maybe it's still in the running today
