Default Sony Vegas Pro 13 - .MOV files are suddenly going black in the preview window. Help!

Hi and thanks for checking out my issue!

I've been wokring on a project editing together about 40-different clips that are about half MP4 and half .MOV files. All of the sudden my .MOV files are just black in the preview monitor. I've tried reinstalling Vegas, updating QuickTime, and also unchecking the option in preferences>video that says something like close media when other apps are open.

I really hope someone can help me with this. I'm unable to work on my project until I get this figured out. Thanks so much!

If you start a brand new project from scratch and add one .mov clip is it also blank in the preview?

Found the issue! Vegas Pro 13 has a limit on number of .MOV files allowed to be imported. All I had to do was right click on several of the .MOV files within my media bin window and click "delete from project". Everything is back to normal working order. Thanks for your time!!

I'm glad you found a solution that worked for you, but I find it hard to believe the above statement. Where did you find this out?

I'm guessing it's a Microsoft issue that Vegas has to live with - typical - microshafted once again!
