Thread: The moment you all have been waiting for :)

Default The moment you all have been waiting for :)

The short review of my new on camera monitor. The monitor has only 480p resolution and no direct battery support. So it may not be interesting for everybody. Nevertheless it would be interesting if you missed something in the review. I tried to add a bit of humour to make it less boring

    The video was fine

the product itself doesn't seem that great

It's not great but comparably cheap

Sorry I have to ask but, does the phrase "the moment you all have been waiting for" possibly mean something very different in German than it does in English?

No, but I was referring to the video editing shenanigans thread and probably slightly exaggerated a bit ...

Well I've been waiting for it

Just watched again ... The turn me on bit went over my head first time I watched. The musac should have registered

Well I'll call that a success as I would have never expected somebody could stand watching the video more than once

It was certainly rapid fire although some of the information presented was rather redundant ("Press the power button to turn the unit on"?)

Sorry if the following sounds harsh, but when making this sort of film you may want to put yourself a bit more in the place of someone looking to buy a 7" monitor ...

What you didn't tell us ...

    How it performs inside
    How it performs outside
    How accurate the colours are
    How accurate the contrast is

Whether an adaptor is available to mount it on a standard hot shoe

I would have liked to see it in use on a camera.

Just some opinions from you would be useful (indeed possibly more useful than any accuate test numbers)

As it stands this wouldn't really help me decide whether to include this monitor on my shortlist.
    Tim
