Talking Parkour Freerunning Showreel of 2015 with Air + Landshots

    Hello,
here I'm presenting my second self-made Sportvideo. The Scenes are captured with a GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition and a Canon DSLR.
Enjoy the video and it would be nice to hear some constructive critism.

Nice job. I thought it was an improvement over the previous one.
The editing was clever. I liked the little jump cuts and the blurs to the beats and the variable speed.
But I did find there was rather too much of it. It started to become a bit predictable and I wonder whether it might have been a good idea to include at least some footage played in real time. Similarly it needed space to breath (which it had near the beginning with interspersed shots of land and also the fantastic composite at 1:30 (well done for that!). For much of the film it was rather "full on" and I, for one, tend to switch off after a while. More variety in pace (I don't mean within one shot, but between sequences) might help hold the interest a bit more. Even though i thought this was very good, at 2 minutes I found myself looking to see how long the film lasted.
Music choice was excellent as the tempo worked well with both the slo-mo and the sped up sections. I would have liked some ambient sound mixed in.

    Hello TimStannard,

thanks for your tipps! Hopefully my third video next year will be an improvement again
Many people said, that it was too long but I had 250GB of nice scenes from my gopro and everybody from our Parkour-Community in Rostock wanted to be part in this video so I think the next Video will has the same length. Or mybe I will edit two videos next year... We will see
Have a nice day and thanks again for your review

Just in case you misunderstood, my suggestion is that by varying the pace a bit, it might remain watchable for longer

A bit of story would have helped, too. Maybe watch the Assassins Creed videos of devinsupertramp on YouTube or the chase at the beginning of James Bond Casino Royal to get an idea.

Not really got much to add to what Tim said. I thought it looked good. You did a good technical job with the edit. For a viewer like me I stopped at 1:27 just short of the "fantastic composite at 1:30". So after reading that I continued a little longer. It was good mix of shots with drone shots ect.

While the skills shown far exceed any think I've been able to do for at least 40 years I thought you could have been more inventive with the stunts, indeed with the competition in this field of other videos like this, you will have to up your game but please do it safely.

MB's argument has one minor flaw - it just doesn't wash

I think your video is technically fine - but it is missing the human side of paraffin free running - if you watch the following video you will see what I mean by the human side ...
