Default Total Newbie Just need 2 quick questions answered

    Hello every body
I have a quick question I hope that maybe somebody can clear my head on this. I just got a Mini Dv Cam(Jvc gr-dv500) it has a dv out and in port on it plus usb connection, but it dosn't say anything about firewire. Ok here is the question. Is the dv out/in the same thing as firewire, or some form of it? Also If it is could i get a pci or some sort of dazzle system to accept the dv out on my computer becuse my computer doesn't have firewire installed. I hoped that i explainrd that clearly. I'll be running xp.
Thanks for the help in advance.

DV IN / DV OUT is the firewire port.

To link your camera to the PC using the DV OUT connection you will need a firewire card fitted to your PC. You will also need a 4 pin to 6 pin firewire cable to connect the Camera to the Firewire card.

    Good Luck!
