Default How to get the same "faded" effect as this video

    Hi everybody,

As said in the title, I want to know how create the same faded effect used in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfJd6_MUZSE

Is there a presset or a filter to do the same effect ? Or how can I replicate it ?

    Thanks in advance

This looks to me like rather flat shot footage - that is with the blacks well away from 0 and the whites well away from 255. Shot such so as to allow greater latitude in post. At least that was the original idea. Now people have got hold of the idea that that is how "high quality" footage should be shot - which is true - but then they neglect to do any of the production in post. To get a similar effect, just reduce the contrast and keep the bias (do I mean that) on the dark side.

As far as using a plug in goes, remember a plug in on my footage will look different to the same plug in on your footage, unless we happened to film on the same cameras under exactly the same conditions.
