Thread: Jumping from Adult to Mainstream

  1. Default Jumping from Adult to Mainstream

    Hello everyone.

I have been editing adult videos for the past 3-4 years and I love every minute of it. I have no current plans to try moving to mainstream, BUT if I ever needed to find mainstream work, how damaging is having a video editing CV that just shows successful adult video editing as experience?

    Just wondering.

Why not do a little other stuff as well, just to show you can (to yourself as well as future clients)

Can you provide a bit more detail about the movies you normally edit?

Are you asking for example footage?

Sample footage would probably be fine!

But, on the basis that the OP is a professional, sharing footage that isn't his is likely to scupper any future work, adult or mainstream.
On the other hand, I can always be PM'd

What Tim said is probably a good idea. Start to build up a personal reel of other footage to show you are not a one trick pony.

Just to clarify - the adult movies we're talking about feature at least one non-male actor?
