Default How do I do what this person done in their youtube video? Simple...

In the following youtube video I'm going to link, the person has a really good, cool looking scroll which he places his text over and their are sparkles going over the screen. What program is this person using and how does this person do it? I mean, it's basic but I'm a noob to video editing outside of Windows Movie Maker and I really want to know how to do this.

Any of the commercially available video editing (NLE) programs is capable of this. Basically we have three video tracks in operation.
The background is an image (eg a jpg) of the scroll.
On top of that we have a text layer/track (the text may have been created within the video editor or it may be another image on a transparent background)
On top of that we have a layer with the "sparkles".
Some programs may have the sparkles built in, but this will be rather limited. Mostly an effect like that will be generated using a separate plug-in known as a "particle generator". Alternatively it may be possible to buy (or even download for free) an overlay that someone has already created with these particles.
Adobe Premiere Elements and Sony Movie Studio are two extremely powerful, consumer level programs to consider and are well supported here. Others are available.

Well, at least in this version the OP only mentions the phrase 'really good' once. In the version on Videohelp, he says 'really good' 3 times!
They think it's spam over there.... I'm tempted to agree.....but who knows?
It's certainly one way of trying to 'spread the word' if that is the intention.......

... except I didn't listen to any of the content so maybe that's a fail.

That's good to know!......as Tim says, you can do this with most commercial editors, but you can do it fairly easily with free software as well.

This is a 'quick and dirty' example...

    http://www.jp137.com/lvs/goldscroll.mp4

    (the file about 2 MB)

Edit: or this one with the fire sparks you mentioned in your Videohelp thread :

    http://www.jp137.com/lvs/firescroll.mp4

(even smaller file - less than 1MB)

The whole thing only took a few minutes to do ..

That does assume you are familiar with the software though...it would take bit longer if you've not used Virtualdub or AviSynth before! (Which are the same programs used in the other thread)
