Default Help needed for YT intro

HI, I've been using vegas pro 10 for a little bit now and have everything for my youtube intro done, but I am stuck on one thing and cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it.
I am looking to have an image show up on screen using a light ray,
I can get the light ray to be as thin as needed and travel from left to right over my image but it goes black after it and no image stays on screen,
any help on this would be a HUGE help

I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding what you are doing and what you are trying to do. It sounds like you are trying to use a light rays effect to create a torch/spotlight beam going over your image and when the beam goes off your image, the image can't be seen again? Isn't that what would happen?

Can you post a screenshot, and possibly a .veg?

I'd say this definitely sounds like a moving spotlight effect

sort of I can do this (the attachments are 2 gifs as it wouldn't let me upload them as images)
the image at the end is the full image
I need the image to remain after the 'light' travels over it kind of like its being burnt onto the screen
EDITED: I added a .veg in tooplease change my ext to veg.txt (why doesn't the attachment uploader allow .veg?

OK it seems to me that what you need is another track - with the finished logo and then "reveal" it with a left to right wipe (using the pan and crop tool) following and in sync with the light rays (if indeed rays from behind the logo is what you want) or spotlight beam (if what zam suggested you may want is correct).

I'd be happy to have a play around with this for you (when time allows), if you can't figure it. Perhaps you can PM me the veg and any assets - maybe you can attach them there.
