    I spotted this GIF on the B3ta forum and I am trying to figure out how the guy did it - He wont reply to any emails so I stealed his pic


    How can I recreate this as video in After Effects?

    I think the guy originally did this frame by frame with photoshop and imageready. but i wanna do it in full video

    Just film your subject in front of a blue/green screen. Posterise the result using the posterise effect. Composite over whatever background you see fit. Voila!

    theres also a technique in flash called 'rotoscoping'......

    alans way seems more obvious but idk looking at the animation the colors and lines seperating color are more crisp then just video and blue screens,i would see flash doing this job close to what you see there.
    let me know what you find out on how to do this.
